Brenda
Dental Assistant
Brenda joined Portwood Dental in 1993 after moving to the Baton Rouge area when her husband got out of the Air Force. She will be one of the team members assisting Dr. O'Shee during dental procedures. She has over 38 years of dental experience and is certified as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. Through the years, she has held a variety of positions, including assisting chairside as well as business office functions. She thoroughly enjoys assisting since it gives her an opportunity to interact with patients, and she constantly strives to make every patient’s visit enjoyable!
Brenda and her husband, Mike, have two children, Brandon and Nathan and one grandson, Cohen. In her spare time, she enjoys boat riding, watching LSU football, and going to the beach.
Cigi
Registered Dental Hygienist
Cigi is originally from Metairie, Louisiana. She received her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2008. Upon graduation, she moved to Baton Rouge to join the Portwood Dental team. She is responsible for providing preventive dental care and dental cleanings for our patients, and enjoys being a part of their oral health journey.
Cigi and her husband Jason have a daughter named Chloe and a dog, Sprout. In their spare time, they love to spend time with family and friends. Cigi likes to read and is a member of a book club, and is involved in Most Blessed Sacrament Church and women's bible study.
Hayley
Dental Assistant
Hayley joined the team at Portwood Dental in June 2018 to work chairside with Dr. O'Shee. She has been working in the dental field since 2012, with both clinical and clerical experience. She received her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant and Radiograph Certifications from LSU. Hayley enjoys spending time with and getting to know patients while helping them achieve a healthy smile.
In her spare time, Hayley enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and watching all LSU sports.
